Maroquin janséniste lie-de-vin, dos à nerfs, doublure de maroquin rouge serties d’un filet doré, gardes de soie moirée rouge, tranches dorées sur témoins, couverture, étui bordé (Semet & Plumelle).
édition originale.
un des rares exemplaires sur vergé léger filigrané avec griffon couronné, seul grand papier dit de hollande (probablement une quinzaine) ou “bon papier” écrivait Baudelaire à sa mère (voir n° 74).
Le portrait (cf. supra) est tiré sur vergé plus fort filigr. HODE(…). Il venait de paraître en décembre 1858 dans la nouvelle édition d’Emaux et Camées.
Infime petit manque en gouttière p. 11, et un f. massicoté p. 15, sinon exemplaire de qualité.
