Réédition de la très belle impression donnée par l'Imprimerie royale dix ans plus tôt, de format in-folio. La page de titre porte les armes d'Anne d'Autriche, devenue veuve depuis cette édition de 1641. Elle a été exécutée par Sébastien Cramoisy, typographe du roi à cette date.
Elle est illustrée d'un frontispice au portrait de saint François par Huret, vignette de titre aux armes d'Anne d'Autriche, 9 culs-de-lampe ornementaux à feuillage gravés sur cuivre, et 3 bandeaux de départ et lettrines.
