Catalogue Note
Armand Gouzien (1839-1892), critique d’art et compositeur, était le fondateur de la Revue des Lettres et des Arts dont Villiers fut rédacteur en chef et où parut en 1868 la nouvelle Claire Lenoir, recueillie plus tard dans Tribulat.
L'ouvrage est enrichi d'une lettre de E. Dongard, adressée au libraire Simonson et datée d'Alger en 1938, lui fournissant des renseignements sur A. Gouzien et l'envoi (2 pp. in-4).
Selon Vicaire, les exemplaires à couverture bleue, comme celui-ci, seraient des exemplaires d'auteur et de presse.
