Condition
The bronze is sound with an attractive dark brown patina. There is a light build-up of dust in the crevices and slight wear to the most protruding areas, notably the figure's right shoulder. A close inspection reveals four very small horizontal scratches on the front left corner of the base (when observing the sculpture in profile, as in the catalogue illustration). Apart from some small spots of verdigris, to the figure's lower back and the base, this work is in very good condition.
