Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down. The sheet is fixed to the mount along the edges. There are three rectangular bands of discoloration running along the lower, left and right edges which appear to be due to an old mounting. A close inspection reveals some small spots of surface abrasion, mostly above the artist's signature and in the upper left quadrant. There are a few small flattened creases and tiny horizontal tears to the right edge, mostly towards the upper corner, and an old flattened crease running diagonally across the lower right and upper left corners. There are three fine tears to the sheet situated towards the upper left edge and in the upper right quadrant. Apart from some light time-staining and scattered faint spots of foxing, this work is in overall good condition.
