Description

of shallow circular form with upturned rim, covered in an unctuous grayish-green glaze, thinning towards the rim and stopping just short of the edge of the foot on the underside
Provenance
Collection of Dr. Richard and Mrs. Mary Eckhardt, acquired in Japan between 1947-1952, and thence by descent.
Condition
There is a 1/4 inch (4mm) rim chip which is lightly polished on the exterior. There are scattered tiny burst air bubbles and glaze gaps to the interior and exterior. There are glaze pulls above and to the interior of the foot. There are the typical long fine craze lines to the glaze.
