The present group of pottery figures is exceptional for its well-preserved painting that displays the array of textile designs and colors used in clothing during the Han dynasty, and each figure has different facial features. The figures with their hands concealed by their sleeves each have a hole where the sleeves meet to hold an implement, possibly made of wood, that is no longer extant.
