There is overall wear to the gilding, otherwise in good condition.

A figure of a similiar lion was included in the Exhibition of Selected Chinese Antiquities from the Cunliffe Collection, Messrs. Bluett & Sons Ltd., London, 1973, Cat. no. 54.  Another from the collection of Dr. Ip Yee was sold in out Hong Kong rooms, 19th November 1984, lot 7.
