with a foliate rim and ten lobes, supported on a flared stem foot, each lobe inlaid with white and black slip with a chrysanthemum spray between incised foliate scrolls and waves, the interior with an incised floral medallion, Japanese wood box (4)

Kitayama Fine Arts. Tokyo, acquired in the 1970s.

Condition

The cup is in good condition. There are two glaze gaps on the rim and one above the foot. The interior with scattered iron spots and burst air bubbles. There is kiln adhesion to the foot.
