of ovoid form with eight facets, the narrow neck flaring to a lipped rim, freely painted in underglaze-blue with sprays of asters and orchids, supported on a gently tapered foot, Japanese wood box (4)

Condition

The rim and neck restored. There are scattered glaze chips and two stained hair cracks on the body, the longest approx. 3 in. (7.6 cm) long. There are four stained hairline cracks around the foot, and kiln adhesion to the base.
