Description

  • Length: 74 inches
the long rectangular top painted and incised with a reserve of a pair of confronting dragons with flaming pearls, centered by a beribboned basket flanked by rolling waves below and stylized clouds above, all against an iron-red lacquer diaper ground, and auspicious symbols, with further cloud wisps along the plain apron and brackets, above the circular section legs with scrolling lotus meander and joined by twin stretchers

Condition

There is general lifting of the lacquer, some minor flaking. There are sevaeral areas where the lacquer has been consolidated, particularly along the edges. There is a long vertical split to the lacquer on the inside of one leg.
