Description

  • ceramic
potted with ten facets, the sides gently rising towards the flared mouth, supported on a circular foot ring, covered with a thick unctuous glaze except for the unglazed base

Provenance

Mayuyama & Co., Ltd., Tokyo, acquired between 1960-1969.

Condition

There are several hairline cracks to the rim, the longest 3 1/4 in. (8.2 cm) long, and areas of restoration on the rim. There are burst air bubbles, kiln grit and glaze pulls to the interior.
