of cylindrical form, the grain richly figured in varied brown tones with whorls and knotted 'eyes', the base with a tightly fitted plug and with a probably later handwritten inscription dating to the 8th year of Daoguang

Please note that the images for lots 486 and 487 are reversed in the catalogue. There are some minor nicks to the rim and base, some small splits at the base and general, expected wear to the surface.
