Description

  • Height: 8 3/4 inches
each immortal maiden carved dressed in long robes playing a flute, with wisps of auspicious clouds rising from behind her supporting a bird, one seated sideways on a buck, the other on a doe, the bases inscribed Qianlong fang gu (made in imitation of antiquity during the Qianlong reign) the highly polished stone with a pale lavender tinge, with pale-green and splashes of emerald-green, one with russet veins and inclusions (2)

Condition

The figure on the left of the catalogue image: there is a speckled gray vein in the stone that runs through the immortal's left sleeve and body. The back of the carving has russet veins and inclsion. The figure on the right: there is a russet vein on the rear edge of the base. Both figures are in good condition.
