of cylindrical form raised on three tab feet, inlaid with mother-of-pearl, coral, carnelian, soapstone, amber, jade, and agate depicting butterflies fluttering amidst incised long gnarled boughs bearing prunus blossoms in various stages of bloom emerging from rockwork
Condition
There are areas where the lacquer has been consolidated and restored, particularly along the rim and base. There are some small chips to the base and all three bracket feet have some lacquer loss and wear. The gilding is worn and the inlay has been stabilized.
