Description

  • Height: 15 inches
with a rounded lower body tapering at the waist before rising to a tall upper bulb surmounted by a short neck, decorated overall with foliate scrolls bearing peony blossoms above a band of lappets, all outlined in slip and glazed turquoise, cream, mauve, yellow and aubergine on a rich purplish blue ground, the interior of the mouth and foot glazed greenish blue

Condition

There are typical minor losses and firing cracks to the decoration. There is a minor horizontal crack to the inner rim. Otherwise, in good condition.
