Description

the dishes with steep, everted sides resting on a short circular footrim, the interior painted with an apocryphal Xuande six-character mark flanked by writhing dragons amidst clouds; the jar of ovoid form painted with four panels of blooming flowers beneath a band of lappets, wood cover (3) 

Condition

Jar - has a 1 inch (2.4 cm) haircrack running across the shoulder. The wood cover is a later replacement. Dishes - one has one side of the rim edge lightly polished. The other has several small burst air bubbles on the rim and some specks of kiln grit on the interior.,
