Description

the heavily-potted body with straight sides rising from a recessed base to a broad slightly flaring rim, brightly enameled to the interior with a scene of scholars engaged in the 'four accomplishments'; painting, calligraphy, music and weiqi encircled at the rim by six shaped reserves of boys at play against alternating diaper grounds, jade-inlaid wood stand (2)

Condition

There are two chips to the rim, one which has been restored and the other which has been ground down. There is a firing flaw on the inside wall, and wear and some loss to the enamels mostly to the interior.
