the flattened globular body rising from a short oval foot to a slender neck flanked by a pair of scroll handles, painted on each side with scrolling lotus, the lotus heads in underglaze red and the leafy branches in underglaze blue, all between a band of pendent ruyi-heads

Condition

The neck and handles have been off and reattached. There are two hairline cracks to the rim that is only visible on the interior. One that splits into a v-shape approx. 1 in. (2.5 cm) long, and the other approx. 3/4 in. (1.9 cm) long. The base has been polished.
