Description

  • Diameter: 9 5/8 inches, 24.5 cm
with deep rounded sides rising from a short straight foot, finely painted around the exterior with two large rectangular panels, one enclosing a scene of figures working with textiles, the other with farmers in fields, the interior painted with a central medallion enclosing bamboo issuing from rockwork, the rim glazed ochre, with apocryphal six-character Chenghua mark

Condition

There is a 3/8 inch (.8cm) chip to the exterior rim and two shallow chips to the upper edge of the rim. There is a 3/8 chip (.8cm) to the exterior of the foot rim. Some scattered burst air bubbles and kiln grit spots to the glaze overall.
