Description

with a convex lip and recessed flat circular foot, surrounded by a flat footrim, painted with a continuous scene of four manifestations of Zhong Kui, two as the Demon Queller (one wielding his sword, the other with it sheathed while he holds a fan instead), and two as a scholar (one seated on a low table, the other seated on the ground), all attended by four demons, one of whom holds a parasol, another a model of a bat on a stick, the pupils of the eyes all painted in black enamel; the carnelian stopper with a vinyl collar

Condition

There are some minor fritting to the biscuit around the footrim. There is some minor wear to the enamels. Apart from this the snuff bottle is in good condition overall.
