Condition

The canvas has been lined. There are areas of craquelure to the tablecloth and the father's jacket, which appear stable. The work appears in good overall condition, some rich impasto. Ultraviolet light reveals areas of retouching, probably to areas of craquelure, well executed and not excessive. Held in a gilt plaster frame, ready to hang.
