Condition
STRUCTURE
Original canvas, undulates slightly. The surface appears slightly dirty otherwise in good condition overall with strong areas of impasto.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
Under UV light there is a vertical stain left of the figure's head, which appears to relate to a stain, possibly water, rather than retouching.
FRAME
Held in a gilt composite frame with a canvas inset.
