STRUCTURE
The canvas has been lined. Along the very top edge, at intervals there are some framing abrasions which have caused some small losses to the canvas. Some craquelure throughout and what appear to be a small area of discoloured retouching in the smaller peak right of the central mountain.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
The surface is covered with a layer of opaque varnish which makes any reading difficult under UV light. However, there does appear to be a spot of retouching apparent to the right of the mountains, and also possibly to the lower area of the water.
FRAME
In a Louis XV style reproduction frame.
