Matted with a portrait of Monroe, double-glazed, and framed.

Catalogue Note
Family business. Monroe writes to John Watson, an Albemarle County, Virginia magistrate, that a title for fifty acres of land held by his nephew Augustine, is to be transferred to him. The transfer was being made to compensate Monroe for two hundred and fifty dollars that he gave his nephew to pay off some debts.
