Liebler, Charlotte.  Illustrated lecture notes for Ad Reinhardt's Brooklyn College art classes, 7 pages (11 x 8 1/2 in.; 279 x 216 mm), with pen-and-ink and colored pencil drawings, [Brooklyn, New York, 1940's].  With: a multigraphed class hand-out of Reinhardt's maxims; several gallery invitations and posters, one in an envelope addressed in Reinhardt's hand; some marginal browning.

"Who is responsible for Ugliness? What is 'ugly'?"  Charlotte Liebling's class notes from Ad Reinhardt's celebrated lectures given at Brooklyn College in the 1940's.  In the 1950's Leibling would become Reinhardt's long-time love and disciple.
