Catalogue Note
Impressive set of Kent original drawings for The Complete Works of Shakespeare, published in 1936 by William Wright.
After the lightning success of his illustrations for Moby Dick in 1930, Kent continued his work as illustrator on another classic still using the depth of black and white to highlight Shakespeare drama.
