Catalogue Note

A pristine copy of one of the greatest Surrealist books.

It is particularly important in its brilliant photomontages, where Hugnet collaborated with Marcel Duchamp to produce collages from cut-up newspaper headlines and images to form what the poets named "Poëmes-découpages." The upper cover shows a halftone reproduction of Duchamp's "Why Not Sneeze Rrose Selavy."
