Catalogue Note
Dickens reaches out to the British Museum. The author writes to Sir Henry Ellis, the longtime principal librarian at the British Museum, on behalf of Mr. Hollingshead. Dickens hopes his friend will be granted access to the Museum on an off day so that he may write a "pleasant, fanciful paper" about the institution for All the Year Round, which was then in its first year of publication.
