Reliure usagée avec restaurations aux coins et aux coiffes. Importantes mouillures, traits de crayon à certaines pages, déchirure sans atteinte au texte à la page 101 et déchirure avec atteinte au texte page 435.

François de La Boullaye - Le Gouz fut un grand voyageur français. Né en Anjou vers 1610, mort à Ispahan vers 1669, il parcourut une grande partie de l'Europe, de l'Orient et de l'Asie. Revenu en France pour réclamer son héritage à la mort de son père, il repartit en 1662 en Perse, à la demande de la Compagnie des Indes, où il mourut de la fièvre.
