Lexicon Arabico-Latinus, contextum ex probatioribus orientis lexicographis. Accedit index latinus copiosissimus. Lugdini Batavorum, Bonaventurae & Abraham Elseviriorum, 1653 ; in-folio vélin crème, fleuron central à froid, dos à nerfs.
Première édition.
Jacobus Golius, mathématicien et orientaliste, étudia l’Arabe avec Erpenius, qui lui succéda en tant que professeur d’Arabe à l’université de Leide en 1625. Puis il prit la chaire des mathématiques dans la même université. Son dictionnaire Arabe-Latin restera la grande référence jusqu’au XIXème siècle.
