The renowned painter He Jiaying was born in Tianjin in 1957. He graduated in 1980 from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts and has remained there to teach. He is a member of the NCCPCC, Deputy Chairman of the China Artists Association and of the Tianjin Artists Association, President of the Tianjin Painting Academy, Deputy President of the Contemporary Fine Painting Association. He is Professor and a master's student adviser at the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts and a doctoral student adviser at the China National Academy of Arts. His works have been exhibited and awarded prizes in several national art exhibitions, and have been widely collected by museums and private collectors.
