Arabic manuscript on paper, 366 leaves plus 2 flyleaves, 15 lines to the page, written in naskh in black ink, verses separated by gold roundels pointed in blue and orange, surah headings written in white thuluth script on gold ground with polychrome border, illuminated foliate marginal devices throughout, margins ruled in black, gold and red, opening illuminated double page elaborately decorated with interlacing polychrome flowers against a pinpricked gold ground, morocco binding with gilt-stamped medallions and cornerpieces composed of scrolling vines, with flap
Condition
In generally good overall condition, illumination bright, calligraphy bold, clean pages, intact, very minor loss to a number of pages, some smudges, binding repaired, as viewed.
