Crisper and more defined appearance in reality. Red wool ground colour in reality is less yellow in hue and a darker and attractive red. The panel is lined with light terracotta coloured silk. The panel is edged with four-sided metal fringing. The silk embroidery is in good condition overall, within the main panel and to the outer narrow border. The metal thread applique is tarnished, minor losses, otherwise extant. The wool ground is thin in areas, with some very small circular holes and with some holes due to the thinness of the wool, and the surface of the wool is darker and dirty in some areas. For example see the area above the vase of flowers, which is darker and with minor holes. The top edge of the wool panel is worn with some losses with lining visible, as is the centre of the lower edge of the wool panel. There are some holes to the left of the vase of flowers, to the right edge between the flowers and the narrow border, for example to right of the second flowerhead up and right of the area between the third and fourth flowerhead up the right side. Decorative piece with lovely composition and details.
