Arabic manuscript on polished cream paper, 60 leaves plus a flyleaf, 30 to 31 lines to the page, written in naskh script in black ink, keywords and phrases picked out in red, catchwords, later brown leather binding with gilt decoration

Condition

In generally good overall condition, nibbles to leaf edges, some wormholes and occasional stains, pages generally clean, as viewed.

This manuscript represents a rare copy of Ibn al-Majdi's Kitab hawi al-lubab fi sharh talkhis a’mal al-hisab (volume II), in the hand of Ibn al-Majdi himself, executed approximately seventeen years before the author's death in 1447 AD.
