- gouache and watercolour on paper
Gouache heightened with gold on paper, depicting a bearded figure in green and white robes with a floral patka, holding a flower in his right hand, red and gold turban, laid down on an album page with leafy floral borders with applied floral cartouches in different colours, the reverse with a text block with 14 lines of elegant nasta'liq script in black ink, with a heading panel left blank but with floral decoration, inventory number 'no.4613 PSS' written in pencil, ruled in colours and gold
Condition
In generally good overall condition, painting has been extended by 0.8cm on the right hand side, possibly cut from the left hand side of the painting, a few stains to leaf outer margins, as viewed.
