Gouache heightened with gold on paper, a double-sided leaf, each page with text above the miniature in red and black nast’aliq script on cream paper, red borders, recto numbered in lower border in Persian '18'

Condition

Kakuba Ragini: In good condition, minor flakes of paint to the borders, notably on left and right-hand edges near the centre and lower halfs, possibly due to re-margining, very light retouching to paint on white architectural backdrop and tiny loss to paint on white marble ceiling structure, slight smudging to text, colours and gold paint overall bright, as viewed. Khambavati Ragini: In good condition, minor areas with flaking of paint, notably near lower edge, within garden and lower right-hand edge, also on dresses of two dancers (wearing a deep purple and a pink dress), small flake on moon, colours overall bright and strong, as viewed.
