Arabic manuscript on paper, 307 plus 3 flyleaves, 15 lines to the page, written in naskh script in black ink, verses separated by gold roundels, margins ruled in gold, black and blue, surah headings written in red tawqi' script against plain panels, catchwords, illuminated and polychrome marginal devices, opening double page frontispiece with rococo illumination set against a solid gold ground and decorated with polychrome leaves and flowers, text in cloud bands set within large roundels, colophon with corresponding rococo illumination and outer margins filled with scrolling leafy flowers in gold, red morocco binding with gold stellar motifs with gilt ropework borders
Condition
In generally good overall condition, ink bold and illumination bright, one minor tear, few pages slightly loose, a few smudges, very minor stains but mostly very clean pages, as viewed.
