Arabic manuscript on paper, 305 leaves plus 3 flyleaves, 15 lines to the page, written in neat naskh script in black ink, verses separated by gold dots pointed in red and blue, surah headings in white against gold ground panels, catchwords, margins ruled in gold and red, polychrome floral marginal illuminations releasing leafy sprays, illuminated double page frontispiece comprising polychrome flowers and split-palmettes against a completely gold ground pin-pricked with cintamani motifs, finispiece with rococo decoration and large gold scrolling saz leaves in the outer margins, brown leather binding decorated with trellis design and punched with gold, ropework borders, red doublures, with flap
Condition
In very good overall condition, minor abrasions to extremities, pages clean, one or two smudges, ink bold and illumination bright, as viewed.
