Arabic manuscipt on paper, 233 leaves plus 3 flyleaves, 17 lines to the page, written in naskh script in black ink, verses separated by assorted rotating round forms pointed in orange and light blue, catchwords, margins ruled in black, gold and red, opening illuminated double page frontispiece decorated with interlacing polychrome flowers on pin-pricked blue, black and gold grounds, text in cloud bands on gold, surah and prayer headings in black naskh script on gold rectangular panels, some decorated with polychrome foliate decoration, various pin-pricked illuminated floral marginal devices throughout, colophon enclosed between gold panels, brown leather binding with gilt-stamp floral cartouches, with flap

Condition

In generally good overall condition, ink bold and illumination bright, very few minor paper repairs, small worm holes in places, repair to the binding, as viewed.
