Arabic manuscript on paper, 104 leaves plus 4 flyleaves, 11 lines to the page, written in neat naskh script in black ink, verses separated by varying styles of gold florets, pin-pricked and pointed in blue and red, 2 opening illuminated double pages with text within roundels, followed by a polychrome and gold rococo headpiece, double page watercolour illustration of Mecca and Medina, followed by a further illuminated headpiece, illuminated colophon page, brown leather binding with leafy trellis design gilt-punched with small flowerheads, ropework borders, red doublures, with flap  

Condition

In generally good overall condition, some rubbing to binding, occasional smudges and stains, thumbed, ink bold and illumination bright, as viewed.
