Description

  • silk, metal thread, velvet
each panel worked with a variety of gilt gold and silver threads and sequins, with salmon, yellow and pink floss detailing against a royal blue ground, the decoration, which includes raised work, features an ornate archway between two columns, with six smaller hanging lamps between a large stylised chandelier above a magnificent flowering plant emanating from a vase, the edges with floral and architectural designs, with a four sided gilt metal fringe 

Condition

In good condition, metalic threads bright, some ware to velvet ground, purple silk cloth on reverse torn and damaged, as viewed.
