Description

  • tinned copper
with bulbous sides curving inwards from a broad base, topped by a waisted neck and an everted rim, incised with a calligraphic band under the rim, above two thin bands with foliate designs, the body with a repeating pattern of cartouches comprising entwining vegetal and floral designs alternating with animal motifs, the rim with a band of birds amongst spiralling stems

Condition

In good condition, some rubbing to surface resulting in discoloration, thin scratches and minor dents consistent with age and use, the interior with areas of light encrustation, as viewed.
