Description

  • tinned copper
of deep rounded form with a flat everted rim, the incised decoration under the rim comprised of a band with calligraphic cartouches and alternate roundels between two foliate bands, the body with a row of alternating cartouches and hanging roundels filled with scrolling half-palmette terminals and cloudband motifs on a hatched ground, small inscription to rim

Condition

In general good condition, some rubbing and areas of resulting discoloration consistent with age, with light scratch marks and minor dents to surface, interior with some encrustation, as viewed.
