Condition

In overall very good conserved condition. The other woods employed include burr walnut, and bird's eye maple and amaranth. The quality of the gilt-bronze mounts and veneer is very good. There are some very miniscule restorations to the veneer on the side apron, but these are hardly noticeable. The moulding beneath the gilt-bronze foliate border to the top is of a reddish colour and is probably a later replacement. There is one interior shelf. Marble. Colour slightly darker overall and more attractive than in catalogue photograph.
