Condition
In overall good conserved condition and can be placed immediately.
Colour of tulipwood less orange, more natural and attractive than in catalogue photograph. There are some very minor restorations to the veneer with areas of infill. There some very minor casting cracks in the mounts which are quite normal. On the inside of the left door there is a horizontal hairline crack which had attempts at restoration in the past with red infill. There is also another hairline crack in the right door aswell but this is less noticeable. There has been some restoration to the veneer on the feet and there is a section missing on the side of the front-right leg, which can easily be restored. There are some general hairline construction cracks at the joints and towards the base of the right-hand side panel which can either be left or filled. There is some movement of the rear-left stile which has caused some vertical hairline cracks in the veneer and these have been filled in the past.
Marble: Colour slighter darker overall and more attractive than in catalogue photograph. There are restored breaks which have been filled in the past, some of which show darker areas but these have been well executed. There are some minor chips along the rear edge with a medium-sized chip to the rear-right corner.
The veneer on the outside is tulipwood and rosewood and on the inside tulipwood and mahogany.
