- 46.5cm., 18 ΒΌ in. high
the ivory barrel carved with a frieze of naked nymphs accompanied by putti and hounds, the ormolu base supported on four further winged nymphs, sumounted by a draped and ivy-clad ewer-shaped fitting with elaborate siren handle
Condition
An impressive piece, the sleeve with four cracks. The neck rim does not appear to be of the same origin as the rest of the ormolu portions.
