  • 5.5cm., 2 1/8 in. wide
rectangular, the lid and base decorated in carmine and opalescent enamel with oval lake views, the spandrels and sides with leafy trees and branches, the borders chased and enamelled  with interlaced garlands and beads, one lid opening to reveal three compartments, two with similarly-decorated lids, the other revealing a mirror, Paris prestige marks on base interior, maker's mark [?]L, charge and discharge marks of Henri Clavel and date letter for 1785

Condition

Hard restoration to front enamel panel. Mirrror worn behind. A pretty small box.
