Description

  • Delft
  • 36.25cm., 14 1/4 in. diameter
painted with a monarch on a rearing horse, probably William III, the right hand side with blue leafy branches, the reverse with a lead glaze, restoration to rim.

Condition

There are three areas of restoration at the rim, located at 2 o'clock, 7 o'clock and 10' o'clock. These areas, visible in the catalogue illustration, have associated areas of overpainting to the underside edge of the charger which have now discoloured.
