leaf-capped shells above lion paw supports, shell and foliate gadrooned borders the body engraved twice with a coat-of-arms above the motto 'IN HOC SINO SPECIMEN', the cover engraved twice with a crest
Condition
Cover: good clear hallmarks; the handle is fixed to the cover and appears to have been repaired on the underside, this is not visible from the outside, some light dents to the cover near to the handle
Base: good clear hallmarks on underside; heavy, good overall condition
